For me it is important that the professionals we work in the institution have the opportunity to know other practices and other experiences from other education centres, because this stimulates us to search and discover better ways to do things or because in reality we can compare our results or our ways to do things with others, other centres, other professionals, other countries, this is interesting for me.
Also I think that it is important to have places, where our teams, our people can work together and can reflect on their own practices.
Brief description of organisation: Florida Centre de Formació is a worker cooperative founded in 1977. It is a higher education centre that offers postgraduate and university studies, vocational training, secondary education, and continuous, occupational and language training. There are 3,000 students and 200 professionals. Florida is well known in the Valencian Community as a dynamic and innovative institution.
The International Relations service coordinates the participation in international programmes. Since 1995 Florida has been involved in a wide range of EC funded projects (mobility, pilot projects related to innovation and ICT) mainly LdV and Socrates programme. Florida is also active in the field of quality in education, organising yearly conferences on the subject since 1999 and implementing the EFQM and Excelencia Educativa models in different areas of the organisation. Florida recently renewed the ISO 9000 certification for its occupational and professional training services.
