Brief description of organisation: Spinaker d.o.o. is the largest Slovenian maritime education company. We develop our own training programs for all our courses (courses were authorised by Slovenian Maritime Directorate) and some of them are used by other smaller maritime education companies. Our most important course is Short Range Certificate course and is attended by approximately 500 people yearly. We have also our own IT department. In the last few years we have been working on few e-learning and e-assessment systems, but the EGMDSS e-learning system that includes Short Range Certificate course and Long Range Certificate course in more than 10 languages is the most used one. It has more than 24.000 users from all over the world. Our IT department is using CMS, LMS, MLE, Flash and many other technologies to build multi purpose web sites and web plugins mainly on maritime field.
