Brief description of organisation: TUDEV Institute is a MET provider established by the Turkish maritime industry and hence itself a social partner. TUDEV is part of the maritime employers association and the Turkish Chamber of Shipping. For some 15 years TUDEV has offered MET courses and a range of short courses to the maritime industry. TUDEV was the instigator of a successful Leonardo project (Safety on Sea - SOS, 2005-07) which led to the MarEdu which has since led to several other EU funded projects such as Leonardo projects EGMDSS, MarTEL, SURPASS and M'AIDER. The institute has published several key papers and has supported in harmonisation of MET programmes in the EU. It has unique experience in identifying needs and in developing methods for implementaion as well as in evaluation, dissemination and exploitation of MET results and outcomes.
